Summary: For some reason, Michael Myers couldn't be around for this unofficial sequel. Instead, something far worse took his place. A plot to bring back the more unsavory values of Halloween.
History: For reasons that can only be explained by insanity, Conal Cochran wanted to bring back the old ways of Halloween. Specifically, the sacrificial elements of the Celtic holiday Samhain. To do this, he has put a piece of the Stonehenge in every mask made by his company, Silver Shamrock, so that when the kids wearing them watch a special commercial, they will die. Oh, and he staffed almost his entire company with androids because he could.
Notable Kills: The effects his commercial has on mask-wearers are...not pretty, to say the least.
Final Fate: Eventually, Cochran's own commercial is turned on him and his company, as it causes them all to die and the company to explode. But Cochran seems too graceful in death, probably because the commercial gets aired anyway. Then again, with the main HQ gone, who's to say that the commercial actually worked anymore?
Powers/Abilities: Through dark magic, Cochran's commercial affects anyone wearing his Stonehenge-induced masks. Those people start spasming and die, oozing out insects and filth.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 4-Sure, Michael Myers is one of the most terrifying serial killers, but the slick and sociopathic Cochran potentially killed millions of children with a commercial, even after he died. Then again, if this takes place in the same world as Michael inhabits, you'd think people would be making a bigger deal out of it. Perhaps it did fail after all...
Trivia: -The reason for this film deviating from Myers' legacy was that John Carpenter wanted to make the franchise into a sort of anthology series, with different Halloween-related stories. But after this film's poor reception, it was back to square one.
-Samhain is a real ancient Gaelic holiday meant to signify the end of the Harvest Season. It has some similarities to Halloween, such as costumes and even an invitation for the dead to come join in the festivities. There are no human sacrifices involved, so Cochran was clearly thinking with his ass on that one.
